Kristin Chenoweth and Christina Applegate To Guest On Carrie Underwood’s TV Special

Kristin Chenoweth and Christina Applegate will guest on Carrie Underwood’s upcoming TV special.

Underwood’s television spectacular is slated to air Dec. 7 at 8pm on FOX. The special is dubbed, Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Special.

Also scheduled to appear are Brad Paisley and fellow American Idol alum, David Cook. Dolly Parton is also rumored to show.

Chenoweth and Applegate will join Underwood in a 60′s-inspired number.

The 120-minute special will feature Underwood performing songs from latest album, Play On, as well as holiday standards.

It sounds like delicious cheese.

Fortunately, Chenoweth is heading back to the boards in the spring of 2010. She’ll be starring in Promises, Promises.

Unfortunately, we can’t say Applegate is starring in Samantha Who?. The quaint sitcom was canceled by ABC earlier this year.

Underwood was the fourth season winner of American Idol.

She’s released three albums, Some Hearts (2005), Carnival Ride (2007), and Play On (2009).

Some Hearts was the fastest selling debut country album as well as the best-selling solo female country debut of all-time. It was also the best selling debut by an American Idol contestant.
