Marilyn Monroe Caught Smoking Marijuana

A home movie has surfaced showing Marilyn Monroe smoking marijuana, or weed as it’s known in the vernacular.

The silent color film was believed to have been shot in 1958 or 1959 at a private home in New Jersey. It was recently purchased by Keya Morgan, a collector of photos manuscripts, autographs and documents, for $275,000.

Morgan, who’s in the process of making a documentary about Monroe’s death, tracked down the film. Its owner had been bogarting it in his attic for years.

The film shows Monroe taking a drag from a sinister marijuana cigarette, or joint as it’s known in the vernacular, but not inhaling deeply (good for you Norma Jeane).

“This is the late ’50s so she is already very famous, but this is a personal side of her we’ve never seen before. People have never seen her in such a relaxed pose,” explained Morgan.

After puffing on the marijuana cigarette, or doobie as it’s known in the vernacular, Monroe appears to sniff her armpit. This behavior is soon followed by a delirious giggle.

Obviously Monroe’s reaction is proof of marijuana’s insidious nature and its brain-damaging side effects. Most certainly her marijuana consumption led to cross-dressing, licentious behavior, and listening to rock and roll. After all, it’s not called “whacky tobacky” for nothing.

“I got it (the pot). It was mine. It was just passed around.” said the maker of the film who wished to remain anonymous (obviously he doesn’t want his mother to know he does drugs). “It was not a party. It was just a get-together. You know, come over and hang out.”

Unfortunately Mr. Anonymous-filmmaker we do know. We know all too well about your “pot parties” and “cannabis cook-overs.”

Hugs not drugs, kids. Hugs not drugs.

Monroe died in Aug. 5, 1962.
