Phantom Of The Opera Sequel: Song From ‘Love Never Dies’ (VIDEO)

The highly anticipated follow up to Phantom of The Opera, “Love Never Dies,” finally has a premiere date. Until then, fans can enjoy the production’s torch song, “Till I Hear You Sing.”

Below is video from our friends at Broadway.com. The clip features LND star Ramin Karimloo.

Andrew Lloyd Webber announced Thursday that LND will premiere in London’s West End at the Adelphi Theatre on March 9. Broadway will have to wait until Nov. 11, 2010 to see the new Phantom. A theater has not yet been named.

“There’s unfinished business,” Lloyd Webber told journalists in London. “I don’t regard this as a sequel; it’s a standalone piece.”

Webber went on to say that he always thought the ending to the original Phantom of the Opera was rather boring.

Playing Christine in the London production is Sierra Boggess.

Jack O’Brien will stage the production. The lyrics were by Glenn Slater and Webber co-wrote the book.

The LND album has already been recorded. It will “drop” at the same time the show premieres in London.

Love Never Dies is set on Coney Island in New York City (that will certainly make Americans snicker). The story picks up a decade after the events in POTO. In the follow-up, the Phantom has vacated his Parisan lair and moved to Long Island (again Americans snicker).
